Welcome to my first wiki page! My name is Brittney Story and this is my senior year here at Chatham. I am studying for my undergrad in Art Education and will be graduating in December 2012. I am looking forward to becoming a certified teacher so that i can help students achieve their short and long term goals. My goal is to not only be an art teacher but also a mentor for students as well. I want them to know that they can come to me for anything in life they may need help with. I've always had a love for children and helping people so becoming a teacher was a no brainer for me. It wasn't until I fell in love with art did I decide that I can study my own interests but also become a teacher in many subjects. I plan to not only incorporate other subjects into my art class room but also incorporate real life experiences into the class.
I want students to feel free to express their feelings and emotions as well as get in touch with their creative sides. Even if students are not interested in art I want them to walk away from my class learning something. I love the idea of using online spaces for students.

Again it's in the beginning stages meaning I have almost nothing posted but I will continue to edit it throughout the semester.
For my Podcast I decided to record my intro podcast for the idea that I expressed in the Podcast Discussion Page in Week 9. I decided to record it as I would to my class to introduce the lesson.
